Though I have nothing but fond memories of the many muslims I have known and the many muslim countries I have visited, I find myself looking at muslims I randomly encounter with some suspicion, even here in the West Indies. I am ashamed that I do so, but that is the world we live in today, thanks to a very small minority of muslims and the fear mongering media.
I can't say I can even tell a jew when I pass one on the street. Therefor, I'd have to say that it's much tougher to be a muslim today than a jew.
I think all cults can be dangerous entities.
They are built on rumours, fairy tales, and lies.
I would steer clear of any and all religions.
They both cut their kids dicks off and don't eat Bacon, I hate them equally.
Probably Muslim because they take so much crap around the world just because a few of them are not good people.
I think it's probably harder to be a Muslim... in America at least. Other parts of the world probably vary with this issue depending on where you are.
Being a Jew in America today is not that bad I would suspect. Especially if you are in an urban area where there is lots of progressive thinking. in fact, a lot of people in America I think look up to Jewish people and stereotype them as smart, witty, and funny. That doesn't mean that there aren't some areas that probably look down on them... because I'm sure there are and sometimes people stereotype Jewish people as being too frugal and whatnot. But for the most part, I think if you are Jewish in America, you can get a great education and have a great career and have no issues being hired most places.
Being a peaceful Muslim in America... I think is probably somewhat challenging. There will always probably be at least 25% of people that you encounter even in progressive areas that will assume that your religion is bad and that you are a threat for being Muslim. In Islam, they have a specific dress code and I'm sure that's not easy to walk around in different clothing and have people staring all the time. There are probably a lot places that won't hire you. You get checked at airports all the time. I doubt that it's easy.
