Is it wierd to want to be another species?
I want to be a lioness and rough it in a pride outdoors. Living wildly. Hunting. Mating. Fighting. I know that this is unrealistic of me. But goddamnit I can't help it. I want to be wild!

you will be a squirrel in my yard destined to be eaten by the dingo
I personally think being the strongest variation of eagle is much better and fun. A predator on top of the food chain and a pair of wings to roam the earth while sight-seeing nature's beauty as one pleases.
I get it so much! Life seems to make sense for other animals, and you have a set out path in life, freedom from a lot of other responsibilities.
Maybe one day you could get out to the countryside and life on your own terms.
I want to fuck a gorilla and have a cross species baby, a gruman or a hurilla.
People need to realize by the act of not being human that you are by every definition on the food chain.
Humans in all intensive purposes have been out of the food chain for thousands of years. All what it is to be an animal is a deep seated fear of your own demise is what all animals strive for to prolonging their own exsistance for as long as possible. Very, very few animals die a peaceful death. Survival is a brutal process.
That kind of romantization of what it is to be an animal puts to shame what being an animal truely is about. Not freedom, just pure survival none of this breeding in the wild crap.
This is why furries are at the bottom of the totem pole, they cannot even identify what it is that makes their "side" great.
An addendum to the above point. By out of the food chain I mean we are the apex preditors in nearly every biome we set up shop in. Sure we rank with the pigs on the food chain but when it comes to humans its never about just one human. We are a collective that is strong by our numbers and enginuity. Sure we cant take on a tiger in 1v1 fights but if we really wanted to we could wipe out nearly every preditor to even cross paths with humans. Of course we dont because we have the actual foresite to see past the now and think of the later generations belive it or not.
No need to be rude. But sure I'll humor you since you think I'm dumb.
I understand It's survival of the fittest. And I want to live that life. I want to live everyday wondering if I'll die from starvation, dehydration or another animal, I want to worry if I'll get successful hunt.
And yes, there is a level of freedom to it, you arent held back by a world so corrupt by greed and looking to tear down people expressing themselves (furries) .
I look at human beings and I hate them. And after a while it ended up being as a whole. Hunters kill anything that will give them money, again humans are greedy horrible beings. And the people and places that have set up reserves and rescues are more bearable. But I'd still rather be an animal then be a human, a disgusting, destructive human being.
I also hate my current life, I see no point to it nothing has made it worth while. I want excitement, peril, drama. And this has nothing to do with being a furry. I've wanted this long before I was one, that just happens to be my escape so I can "be" a lion if I want, because lord fucking knows I can't actually be one.
And you've basically called me naive. But I know exactly what I would be getting into.
-Hot weather, meaning potential dehydration in dry season or just about any season.
-fights with other animals such as but not limited to hippos, crocodiles, rhinos, hyenas, other lions and many more.
-potential starvation, food becomes scarce quickly during certain times of the year and lions don't usually eat as often as they'd like, usually going days without eating.
-death by prey like buffalo + wildebeest horns, zebra + giraffe kicks, hippo and elephant tusks, etc. (Elephants aren't really prey though, there's safer alternatives)
-Breeding is inevitable. It's done by the current male and if another one take over, I have to let them kill my cubs and then have theirs. sometimes they will run out the cubs instead.(unlikely) And sometimes the cubs will die to other predators who find them an easy meal, or even as simple as weather conditions.
I have nothing but respect for the hard life that the creatures of the outdoors endure. And I wish to be part of the perils of life.
And that's what meant when I said 'Being Wild'
