Is it weird that i've never planned this?

I'm a 19 year old girl and I'm in college now. I've only just began thinking about this but all my friends (girls) seem to always talk about their dream wedding and they know exactly what they want and which dress and they seem to have an overall idea of it. I'm still young and I'm not even thinking of marriage now at all, but is it weird that I havent even thought about what its going to look like, what my dress will be like and where it gonna be. Just all this stuff, I just don't plan things like this in my head. Is this normal?

I'm a girl and I'm the same 16

"seem to always talk about their dream wedding "

So you're concentrating on your education instead of marriage? Sounds like you're in college for the right reasons.

    Thats completely normal.

I never even thought about my wedding or marriage when I was little and not much still till this day even.

  • What exactly are u trying to imply with ur comment? That people are required to go to college to think of marriage. Fun fact: people go to college for the education.

No, I'm pretty sure Angel was implying the exact opposite...

        *nods*

I'm still not sure how the OP came to the wrong conclusion on that... unless she though I was being sarcastic?

I was implying that you were attending college for the right reasons - getting an education.

It sounds like the other girls are only there to nab husbands. They use to call it "getting your MRS degree"

      • Oh apologies I completely misunderstood your point, you've given me quite a bit to think about (in a positive way) thank you!

do you realize your reply makes NO sense? Nowhere does she mention that SHE'S the one talking about "dream weddings" so obviously she IS there for the education but happened to come across people who have other priorities. I can't stand people like you who post completely pointless comments and don't even bother giving a useful answer. Grow up.

@ Poster- It is completely normal but remember that everyone is different while some people will concentrate on marriage plans others concentration on work, their future, sports etc Depends on what they're interested in

In my culture, the woman is responsible for most of the wedding expenses and the planning, too.

      • Yeah, what I said wasn't aimed at all women, just what I think these girls were thinking due to them probably still being teens.

Your post was actually funny, though. I know plenty of women who look at men as an early retirement plan.

          • You're probably the first on this whole site toadmit that some women actually do that. Thanks.
