I watched this Japanese show. The man eat at a cake shop but everyone keep staring at him awkwardly like he's jizzing on the cake. He's the only man in the cake shop. In my country, ladies or gentlemen, it doesn't matter at all who eat at the cake shop. Maybe it's due to their Japanese culture which I'm not sure. I am certain that most users here are from US and UK so do you find it weird if a man eat at a cake shop in your country?

    Knowing Japanese TV, it probably was a jizz cake with extra jizz icing.

    Over in the US, it's normal for a dude to eat cake in a cake shop. There's a Hispanic bakery shop in my town where both men and women sit down and eat the cakes and other sweets the place sells. I'm guessing it might be a cultural difference or something.

    Does a 'cake' shop have another meaning where you come from? Perhaps the closest we might get to a 'cake' shop in the US is a massage parlor? Of course, there is the Cheese 'Cake' factory??

      English is not my language so maybe you people used a different term for this. It's like a restaurant where customers can enjoy cakes and desserts. There are no other foods that are served there, only cakes and desserts. Maybe I should have said cake restaurant but that still sound weird to me.

      Nah, just dating with his girl. So, is it normal or not in your country to digest the cake at the shop? Is it frown upon like the situation that I mentioned?

        I guess it would be called a bakery in the US. It's normal for people to eat in there if there are tables and chairs, otherwise they just take it home...or out to the car and eat it there.

              More than weird now if you asked me. I hope they didn't creep you out though. I've seen many things that they did. Too weird that it's cringeworthy. Don't wanna eat a cake from from their country now.
