When I was growing up in the 80s, there was an old Italian man across the street - we called him "Uncle Bill" - who was well-known among us kids to have shown his penis to the girls and got one of the poor kids to touch it. I'm sure he did a lot more but everything was hush hush... Parents knew and didn't do anything about it either. He never got arrested and everyone seemed to be friendly with him or at least tolerate his behavior. Would this ever happen nowadays?

      I don't know. Looking back, it seems like people thought of molestation as something weird that they didn't really understand. Whereas today everyone knows what it is.

    Sadly, it always has happened will continue to do so. In a horrible, positive light, hormones in foods and other stuff is causing today's 12 yo girls to be physically equivalent to a 17 yo thirty years ago.

      it doesn't have to happen, and I think, as a society, we'll be able to make it go away, if we're all dedicated enough. plus, regardless of how old or "physically mature" an individual looks, that doesn't mean they deserve to be sexually harassed/molested/anything like that. if it happens to them, that's not their fault, it's the fault of the person doing it to begin with.
