Is it safe to use spermicidal lubricant while using the pill

I am currently on hormonal birth control (the pill) I have always used a secondary form like condoms or the pull out method I would like to try spermicides.

I want my boyfriend to ejaculate inside me to get closer in the bedroom but I fear the pill alone isn't reliable enough. Will spermicide interfere with my birth control?

      Any medication has contraindications. My guess is OP is aware of that and wants to make sure that using it won't have bad side effects or interfere with the effectiveness of the Pill.

      As for the question, sorry OP, no clue. Probably best to ask a pharmacist or doctor.

        Good point, adorable-Aussie-other-me. Nonoxynol-9, the most common spermicide does not effect birth control, but there are plenty of other meds that do, OP.

        To be safe, go to the discovery health website and use the drug interaction checker. It's the easiest way to know if the medication you are taking is contraindicated, which is especially important if you are seeing more than one physician.

          That's a really handy site, from the sound of it. I've wanted to check some of my meds but cba to make an appointment or Google a site where I could check. Thanks :D
