Is it rude to tell a girl to shave her mustache?

Sometimes I will see a good looking girl with a noticeable mustache. Not like a full on mustache but you can tell it's there. There are times when I see these kind of girls and I want to tell them "Hey, no offense but you really got to shave your mustache." But I never have the balls to say that. Not trying to be rude at all; I just genuinely want to help her look better. Do you think its rude when someone tells a girl to shave her mustache? (Or I may be completely naive and not know about girls who like to grow their mustaches)

  • I think it is rude cause it's not really your business or place. It's also making someone feel bad about something which I don't believe in.

You should leave that up to her friends. Coming from a guy would probably make me sad. Just sayin.

I think that's a thing you should leave their girlfriend's to tell them. Would be so awkward...

I am on the fence about this one. When I was much younger and in junior highschool, my friends older brother told me I should pluck between my eyebrows!! Yes, I was embaressed and it hurt my feelings. But, I looked up to him like a brother and feelings aside I knew he wasn't mean. What did I do? Go home and pluck between my eyebrows. At that age I just didn't know to do that or notice I needed to. However, I do know that us girls are very senstive about things like that. Since it was my eyebrows it was easier to swallow than being told I have a beard or a moustache. Girls are self concious already about stuff like that. If it is just a random girl then NO!!! Do not tell a girl anything like that and just see past it. If it is a girl that you love everything else about her, and are spending time with on a regular basis, and have a great repore with. . . Well, then only if it is done in a very respectful, sensitive way. And only if it truly is because she isn't aware of it. And only if it is more than a few fine hairs. Shaving would be the worst hair removal option there is by the way!

What is it to you if any girl has a moustache? Do you honestly believe that they enjoy having it? And, as a matter of fact, there are certain skin conditions which stop some girls from doing anything about it.

Secondly, it is her choice. If she wants to have a moustache she can go ahead and have. If she wants to get rid of it; again, it is her choice.

And I think that you would be just another ignorant person in this world if you ever do what you intend to do. Whether she is hot or not, it is none of your business how she lives her life. If it does not matter to her why would it matter to somebody whom she does not even know?

It is obvious from your post that you have a very shallow view that would affect any girl if you were to, out of nowhere tell her to shave her moustache. It does not surprise me that there are so many guys like you in the world as it seems that so many have been brainwashed by the use of photo shopped women in magazines and on television.

You would think that somebody would have one bit of decency in letting somebody be the way that they are. It is not her fault that she has a moustache. Why would she look any less beautiful than another girl? Why is beauty criticised in such a manner when I am sure that not you or anyone would be comfortable with having to live with something that is viewed as ugly in this world?

I just wanted to say that to those girls that do have moustaches, it just might be a big deal, especially if somebody directly tells them to shave it. And for you to be even thinking about telling somebody that you do not even know to change something about their appearence is not the way to go about anything.

You got nothing to apologize for ;-) I was just pointing out that the comparison between fixable and unfixable things is flawed.

Maybe they are purposely growing a mustache in preparation for an eventual sex reassignment surgery?

    Or they just like mustaches.

Women already know and maybe can't be bothered doing anything about it.

One thing's for sure, if you say that in a social environment she will HATE you for the rest of her life and never forive or forget it.

You would lose out more than she would.

They already know they have one so don't tell them, you'll only make yourself look like an A. Maybe they didn't get around to shaving/waxing it or maybe they are tired of doing it all the time b/c it probably grows back fast.

Maybe they keep it to keep away men.

this fat bitch at my job has a stache, so gross man.

shaving is not the answer for girls-it's electrolysis or laser hair removal-they carry some risk but is a permanent solution for unwanted hair.

First of all, one should never "tell" someone to do something because you find it unattractive or offensive.
Second, females should not shave a 'moustache', because it will grow back thicker. They should have them waxed or removed.
If you find this female attractive, tell her that. Then suggest to her that she would be more appealing to you if her upper lip hair were not as prominent. Let her know that you would love to go on a date with her IF she waxes her lip.
Careful not to use this technique to coerce people into doing things that could be permanently damaging and/or irreversible, such as breast implants, penis enlargement, etc.

i think it's ok as long as you tell it in a nice way and not in front of others and of course, you should be a close friend with her otherwise no it will be really rude !

    MUSTACHE JOKE:

Q: What's the difference between a blonde and a walrus?
A: One has whiskers and fishy flaps, while the other is... well, a walrus.

Buy her a magnifying mirror and maybe she'll notice it better. And if that doesn't help, start dropping hints, or have a close friend of hers tell her.

No it's not rude, but she'll kick your ass if you say anything.

Maybe hint to one of her chick friends so they can tell her?

Absolutely NOT rude. If a girl is so sloppy with her appearance as to appear masculine, well then I think we can safely say she is lacking in the finer feelings most women have.

Tell her and let her TAKE IT LIKE A MAN, what?

So what you're saying is... men can grow beards and have as much hair on their bodies as they want but women have to go around meticulously shaving every part of their bodies to the point at which you think she's SLOPPY and less of a woman if she doesn't?
I understand some hair removal but THAT ^^^ Is just...

Growing hair above their lips like that will make their mouth look like a vagina LOL!
Maybe that's the look they're after?

To be honest, I don't think it's any of the guys business to be telling a girl to shave off their moustache. She is NOT going to turn around and thank you for saving her the embarrassment of having a moustache 'that she never noticed' (every living, breathing girl knows already).
And if you had to go through the pain of waxing your moustache... Well, lets face it, you wouldn't. Because it hurts.
If it's a teenage girl most of the hair will go away as she gets older anyway.
Well basically I think it should be socially acceptable for girls to have some peach fuzz on their lips because the amount of money spent on beauty products in the US alone... It's not worth it and I don't think that just because we are women we have to buy stuff to make men appreciate us more. What do guys buy, gel, deodorant and possibly some cologne? XD That's cute
