Is it reasonable to get annoyed

My boyfriend has my phone number and a fully functioning iPhone but won't call me when he wants to talk to me. He will text someone else and tell them to tell me to call him. When I don't call immediately, (like 30seconds later) he pesters the other person by constantly texting them to "tell her to call me". Then after 1 minute he will text my phone just "yo". So I text back "what do you need" or something like that. Then he keeps texting the other person to tell me to call him. Then when I call he angrily asks "what took you so long to call" even though it was only a minute and a half and when I ask" why couldn't you just call me" he always ignores the question and then gets to the point of why he wanted me to call which is always something so not urgent and trivial that he could have text or figured out himself like "what is 45 percent of 77". Not even exaggerating. And he does it at least every other day. Is that normal?
