Is it rare to be a virgin at 17?

Its not rare where i live (Utah) but thats because everyone is a fucking mormon!

Where I live (Missouri) it is very rare, but a very good thing! Something about a girl being a virgin is so endearing!

It's definitely not rare. I've got quite a few 17 year old female friends, and most of them are virgins :) I'm in the UK too :) It's normal and there's nothing wrong with it at all.

No, I don't think it's rare at all. A lot of 17 year olds will have had sex, but a lot won't.

Of the ones who have had sex, some of them will have done it just so they can say they're not a virgin any more. You only get one first time. Often it's not great, and there's no point leaping in and giving it even more chance of being less than great. Better to wait until it feels right.

17 is about average I would say. College is when most people start going out drinking, starting sexual relationships, I mean I know a few that lost it in school myself included and a few that lost it at uni but I reckon college age is when it happens for most people.

If it was the USA I would have said certainly, but since I don't know the UK, I'll say I don't know. Sorry :P
