My sister and I are in a huge disagreement about the movie leap year, She says that because she and I are Irish we can propose to our Boyfriends, when we want to get married but only on leap day. Is it normal?
Guys are hard to understand, they might say yes because they feel the pressure. If i were irish i sure wouldn't propose to a guy. I'd let the guy do it when he feels ready but then Again...guys are never ready.
..if a guy can propose though...why can't women...
Go for it! But at the same time wouldn't it be more fun to have the guy stress over the proposal instead?

i see no problem with that, so long as you both are ready to tie the knot, should it really matter who proposes? As for the leap year thing, i dont think the day would matter, but id pick a day when the weather was nice.
Its not what i would consider 'normal', but only because I've never heard of it before. I wouldnt go so far as to call it abnormal, though.
Anyway, there is no approved standard for what is normal,and what is abnormal. It's all just arbitrary jibberjabber. In any case, romance should be spontaneous, not modelled on another's beleifs.
It's normal for some people but I don't think it means as much as it would for the guy to do the proposing.
At least not for me. Because if the guy proposes then that means he is ready to get married to the woman he is with.
Women, if they find the right guy, are always ready to get married to their men

So it means more if the guy proposes.
