Is it possible to retry?

When I was at school I fell in love with one girl (let's call her Helena). I was too shy to tell her about it. It was the last year at school, I knew that we will enter different universities in different cities, so I decided not to tell Helena about it and stay friends with her.

Then, more than 3 years have passed. Sometimes we talked in skype and were in touch. I never known if she had a boyfriend.
I didn't have the girlfriend, either (yep, here is another issue!!!)

But recently, Helena informed me that she is going to move to my city. She told me that she is coming there for her winter vacation and asked me to show her around.
I'm wondering if there is a chance for me to become her boyfriend? Is it worth trying?
