You can get stuck on a buzz sometimes. Some people have pre-existing conditions that weed won't help at all. Chances are you'll come back down or at the very least get used to your condition though.

It's funny that weed is one of those drugs that the people addicted to it preaches it's merits. Weed is far from being all good. I'm bi-polar and I suffer from depression and anxiety and weed enhances all of the symptoms of my illness. A poster mentioned above that he gets cranky when jonesing weed; he didn't use those words but that's what he's talking about. It's a well known thing that weed addiction make you grumpy when you are craving.

Drugs are drugs and none of it is good to abuse.

I personally feel super drained a couple days after I smoke really good shit. It should wear off.

Make sure you drink plenty of fluids and get rest. That can make you feel dazed too, if you stayed up all night.

I love how people who don't know anything about marijuana love to preach about how bad it is without considering the very apparent positive affects *cough cough tisgranum... Cough cough* people need to do some research or shut the fuck up.

It seems more normal then not. I've never been high for three days. But it also depends on your tolerance and how often you smoke good good. give it a few more days if it doesn't go away. Smoke some more and get even higher lol.

      From wiki:

The effects of cannabis are caused by cannabinoids, most notably tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). Cannabis has both psychological and physiological effects on the human body. Five European countries, Canada, and fifteen US states have legalized medical cannabis if prescribed for nausea, pain, and alleviation of symptoms surrounding chronic illness.

Acute effects while under the influence can include euphoria and anxiety.[1][2] However, chronic use is associated with some cardiovascular risk factors such as blood triglyceride levels and blood pressure, as indicated in a longitudinal study.[3] The evidence of long-term effects on memory is preliminary and hindered by confounding factors.[3][4] Concerns have been raised about the potential for long-term cannabis consumption to increase risk for schizophrenia, bipolar disorders, and major depression,[5][6] but the ultimate conclusions on these factors are dispute

I know it enhances all my symptoms; not to say it caused them in the first place. I have personal experience on the matter.

        Here's another one for you:

Laboratory studies have shown that animals exhibit symptoms of drug withdrawal after cessation of prolonged marijuana administration. Some human studies have also demonstrated withdrawal symptoms such as irritability, stomach pain, aggression, and anxiety after cessation of oral administration of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), marijuana's principal psychoactive component. Now, NIDA-supported researchers at McLean Hospital in Belmont, Massachusetts, and Columbia University in New York City have shown that individuals who regularly smoke marijuana experience withdrawal symptoms after they stop smoking the drug.

Studies at Columbia University in New York City have demonstrated that, in addition to aggression, marijuana smokers experience other withdrawal symptoms such as anxiety, stomach pain, and increased irritability during abstinence from the drug. "These results suggest that dependence may be an important consequence of repeated daily exposure to marijuana," says NIDA.

Cough, cough to the stoner who thinks it's all good because he likes it. Once you have done it and stopped it and done it some more and tried it any other way, come and tell me what weed truly does to you.

I've smoked weed from the age of 16 to 30 and have been around stoners all my life. I know what weed does. None of what I have said is untrue whatsoever. I did not say that weed is all bad but it isn't all good either and that's a simple fact.

There is no drug that is all good as far as I know. If it's out there, I've never heard of it and I have been around my share.

Here's the way to "get down". Get off the drugs.

@piman i hate when people think they're being helpful by suggesting shit like "don't do drugs", "it doesn't make you any cooler" which is completely besides the point..

@Anonymous Story Submitter i normally feel an afterburn almost exactly 24 hours i smoked it for about half the amount. for example if i smoked 1g 24 hours ago, i would feel .5 right now for about 30minutes - 1hour. Its normal to have a continuous feeling too though; i feel overly positive and appreciative 3-5 days after i smoke, after that i get grumpy and needa take another hit... but its a good thing i don't wait that long between sessions :)

Some good points on the studies there, though to be fair, I get withdrawal from caffiene when I go without. XD it's gonna happen with anything, you react a little oddly for a few days while your body is detoxing and going back to normal. And cannabis is better for treating certain conditions than anything else on the market. I'd rather toke a little for insomnia than be awake for days at a time or rely on sleep aids, but then I'm more responsible than some stoners I know >.>

And for the mental illness thing, I'll need to find the study, but from what I read cannabis can't make someone go crazy. What it can do is cause early onset mental illnesses such ad schizophrenia and psychotic disorders to become active a little faster than in non smokers, an average of 2.7 years sooner. But if smoking does make anyones psychological issues worse, for the love of god know when to stop. :p

That's not normal, it should start fading in like 6-7 hours tops. You must have a low iron count in your body or something, giving you a stronger effect.

By the by, I'd still smoke it if I didn't get increased anxiety for like a week when I do.
