Is it possible to give my dad custody over me instead of my mom?

OK I'm not going to include details all I'm going to say is that my mom's boyfriend keeps phisicly man handling me . And I can't call the cops because last time I called the cops was for him kicking me in the ribs and not being able to breath for a couple seconds . They ended up dismissing it as nothing as but me being spoiled and not appricating it . This happened on multiple occasions and I'm sick of it but can't call the cops because they don't listen to me . So I want to give my dad custody , so is it possible to give my dad custody?

    What is your relationship with your dad like?

    I'd start by telling your dad what's happening and ask him if you can live with him. Your dad needs to be willing to take you in, first of all. Then go from there...if he says no, then that's that. If he says yes, then discuss it with your mom. If she agrees, then there ya go. If she refuses, then listen to her reasons (she might have good reasons).

    call your local news station and tell them what happend. Once they put out a story on this, and how the cops ignored you, you won't be able to walk out your front door without seeing police

      The news station wont broadcast it until it is verified and if the cops wont do anything , there is no way to verify it.

    at a certain age , you can pick who you want to live with. Def tell on them too and see if your siblings will back up your story. I went through this too, only it was one of my dad's wives being really mean and abusive.
