Is it possible people get strength boosts in life or death fights?

i always remember this story about a mom lifting up a 2-ton car because she was afraid it was going to crush her baby or something like that. supposedly there's some kind of switch in the brain that flips rarely in those situations but what if two guys are fighting for their lives trying to kill each other? are they strong like the mom lifting the car? or is it just some rare thing?

In those situations you can put your hands together and send out a kamehameha wave.

It has never been called a kamehameha beam, it's always called the kamehameha wave. And the literal translation is Turtle Devastation Wave. Get your facts right :)

But Einstein theorized that light is actually particles and travel as a beam and not a wave which was proved correct with the discovery of the photon... Yadda yadda yadda, Americans get a hold of him then BAM, spirit bomb.

There was a show that examined these cases and people have done some mind blowing things...one guy lifted a 1000 lb rock off his chest...another was picked up by a twister and literally was tossed a mile and lived...some guy fell off a cliff...all types of shit..they tried to explain it scientifically too and they wrre able to explain them even though they were at the limits of the human body

I don't know about the strength. Have You ever heard flight or fight ? What if you were able to make a conscious decision ? What if You could be aware of your surroundings ?

TBH you're only as strong as your muscles so the mom lifting a bus story is fake, I've also heard the same story and believed it as a kid but eventually came to my senses. It IS an adrenaline rush but it only makes your body work alot harder than usual, it doesn't actually give you magic strength that you don't have

Because I'm not even sure if a 400lbs body builder can lift a bus and I doubt being a mom would make them any stronger. Unless she had quintuplets and carried them all around in one of those little kangaroo ouch things that go around your shoulders, or alot o kangaroo pouches... Then maybe... Just maybe

        • when they say lift they mean tilting but still off the ground, not like entirely off the ground.

It's called adrenaline rush and it's pretty common in life threatening circumstances. Our brain pretty much lifts the limits of our body (muscles) when something like this occurs.

If one participant gets an adrenaline rush in a fight, you can pretty much bet both will, so no one has much of an advantage. I'd not count on this at the best of times because it's usually not enough to make any real difference.
