I find it VERY annoying when people don't know the difference between you're (you are) and your! Also to, Im going TO the store. And too, I want some TOO. I have a hard time not correcting people when these are used improperly.
Right on. I don't think it's asking too much for peole to be able to speak and read their own language.
I'm with you. I think that schools these days just do not care anymore. Back in the sixties it was forced on you to spell it correctly. Also, I can't stand it when people say birfday instead of birthday. It's called laziness.

It's basic knowledge of the English language people! I'm not necessarily bright but I can grasp the simple aspects of my first language. Another peeve is people who can't type words out correctly when texting. I'll forgive things like: lol, tbh, omg. However, if you ever send me: Txt u l8r coz i need 2 go 2 teh shps. I WILL HARM YOU. 'Teh' has the same amount of freaking letters as 'the' for crying out loud!!!
this is one of my biggest pet peeves, too. not just with your/you're or to/too but their/there/they're then/than etc. i get angry when someone is trying to type something smart and witty and they can't even use the correct homonyms.

No, I'm not talking about texting! Haha! That's a whole different set of rules... Or lack of rules. I really try not to correct people but good grief! Basic grammer! I'm amazed at the places I see these mistakes!

Speed. So yes normal but still, u can't correct people on them when talking cuz they are HOMOPHONES (the phones gay people use [not meant offensively]) so they sound the same so what ur saying makes no sense. Cuz u can't correct people on those when they talk. :P and it's I'm not Im lmfao! XPeaceX
I am not a big grammar nazi but the 'too' vs. 'to' thing bugs me pretty bad.
I feel the same. One grammar mistake can mean the difference between sounding like you're 6 and sounding like you're 20.
