Is it normal writing about anything of interest but its not fake?

I write alot of stories and polls that aren't about me specifically. They aren't fake perse because they are about things I wonder about and want to know what other people think about them. Some are about people I know or something that comes up on is it normal that make me wonder what they really think. I don't write things that make people angry and I'm not trying to troll. My stories are NOT about anything gross like insest or beastiality. Its just that sometimes I write them from the opposite view of how I feel about it to explore. Is this trolling or is it normal?

FYI this story is really about me.

    This could be an interesting way to deduce the truth.

    Sure, I've never done it, but I don't post too much.

    It's totally ok, unless you're just trolling and then it stops being funny after a while.

    I don't do this but I often try to blank out my opinion from stories and write something completely unbiased. That's a real challenge and often it goes wrong and someone comments. In that sense, I learn something about what other people think from an opinion that may or not be my own. So, in a roundabout way, I do it too. I just don't mean to.

    Yes, this is perfectly normal.
    The stories may not be fake, they could be about situations that you have observed around you but I know that the truthfulness, sincerity and the manner in which the answers you are given will be often has A LOT to do with how the story is presented.

    The purpose of this site is essentially to pick other people's brains. What you're doing is in line with that.

    I do the same because I'm more curious about what other people are thinking - I already know what I'm thinking. ;)
    Less than half of my stories are about personal issues.
