I've noticed on occasion that, when passing a woman in a corridor, her eyes will flick down to my crotch when we're about six feet apart. It's never for long (half a second) but I've noticed it more and more recently.
Is it becoming more common for women to look?

I would be cool with this if the point were to get women to stop making men uncomfortable by staring. It seems to be about telling women who feel uncomfortable with men staring at their chests to shut up, though, so fuck that.

No, it's about showing how that when you wear a shirt with a sentence over the chest area, sometimes people try to read them, and then the female gets pissy about people trying to read the shirt she chose to put on.

Yes girls occasionally check out guys. But my bet is what you have mainly noticed, on occasion, is their eyes flicking down to avoid eye contact. Very few would be as interested in your crotch, and none as much as you. It is your preoccupation with your male genitalia and you simply imagine, hopefully, it is shared by the opposite sex.
I like to have a little "shaft" showing at all times, so the ladies know what they're up against, and that seems to grab their attention a fair amount of the time.
And more importantly, it sorts out your true friends from your gay ones.
It's normal, and common. I visited a woman friend in the hospital a few months ago (we used to date, actually), and saw her beautiful green eyes go right to my crotch. Maybe positioning had something to do with it, as she was propped up in bed and I was standing up, so, her eyes were easily directed towards my crotch, but yes..I noticed her looking and it was obvious. I found it funny, and wanted to jokingly ask her "Want that again, huh?".

A woman will look if you've got a massive bulge in your pants, this should however be a bulge at the front and not the back.

I don't stare at men's crotches. Or their behinds.
UNLESS the guy is wearing nothing but tight, tight briefs to the point where I can clearly see his genitals being outlined by the tight cloth, or the guy has a bulge in his pants, or he's completely naked and is flaunting it around for the world to see- THEN I will stare. (Thankfully, none of these things has happened to me).

I only look if there's something going on down there that catches my eye, like if you can see an outline or something. Which is pretty rare, and I don't get any enjoyment out of it, usually it's more like disgust because most often this happens with a guy who is wearing pajama pants in public which I find icky in itself.
I've had my legs stared at before, which was weirdly flattering :P I've never noticed a crotch-watcher though :'(

I'm not sure I understand the point of this. It's not like you can really tell anything about penis size by looking at a clothed man, unless he's wearing really tight pants or bike shorts, or he has an erection. It's still not appropriate to stare in that case, but at least I'd understand the motive behind it.
Even if I'm very attracted to a man, it's not his crotch that I'm attracted to. I try not to stare in any case, though, because staring is rude.
The crotch is the central part of the body. Its natural for the eye to wander to your focal point, sometimes intentionally, sometimes accidentally.
I actually haven't noticed, but maybe I've just been unaware. Or maybe I just have an averaged sized penis that doesn't demand a whole lot of attention...
Unless it's like the huged, distracting bulge, no. I don't look at the crotch.
