Is it normal when your anus tightens up so bad it really hurts just before you feel the urge to poo?

It sometimes comes in 'waves', this pain and tightness. Sometimes, it hurts so bad I have to lean over as if I was punched in the stomach!

I have never had anal sex (no sex at all, for that matter), and I am not constipated.

I did have an anal tear when I was little due to major constipation...but that was years ago! I'm not sure if it happened to me before the rupture, or after. I can't remember that far back.

And, to boot, It doesn't always happen before I have the 'feeling' like I have to go poo.

Sometimes, during the pain and tightness, I can feel the poo moving around and getting closer to the opening.

I don't have a weak sphincter.

So...is it normal?

    if this is constant than ... you haven't seen a doctor yet?

    i mean sure sometimes I'll have some cramps once in a while when I need to have a bowel movement. but those are rare.
