Is it normal when you're hungry to devour an entire slab of butter

I was hungry as balls. Even though there was plenty of other food in the kitchen such as flour, bread, instant noodles, crackers, okra, potatoes, cabbage, onions, I was too lazy to make something or order from a restaurant online.

So what happenes next? I see this giant slab of store bought butter (15 oz). I put the whole thing on a plate and eat it as if this was cheesecake. The butter was soft, mildly citric and felt awesome. I mean there isn't anything left on the plate: my roommate's surely gonna freak out.

I'm still hungry for more butter.

I honestly can't picture butter as being a satisfying meal.

You might be calcium deficient. Your body knows what it needs and gives you the appetite for it.

Protein. Protein is your friend during hunger rages, always. Too much butter is unhealthy.

    - Yogurt (Greek, Skyr, goat keifer)
    - Meat / fish
    - cheese
    - high protein vegetables

    &

    - coconut ice cream (very high in fibre, and very rich and filling) I've eaten this stuff as a meal before, when I was desperate.

  • It's not strange in my opinion. I couldn't do so, but I see no problem in doing so.

Jesus Christ, if you are finding yourself scoffing down butter because you're hungry. Why don't you make sure you have sufficient amount of food during your meal times to make sure you don't go thru this?

I can't picture butter coming in a 15 ounce size. 8 ounces and 16 ounces, certainly. It even comes in 2.2 pounds, 250, 500 or a kilogram size, but 15 ounces is pretty damn rare on earth. Which planet did you say you live on?
