When I was 20 my girlfriend was 15. We broke up that same year because I moved but she was my first real gf and I lost my virginity to her. She came on to me and asked me out and we went to the same high school at the time. I was honestly probably mentally less mature than her too. We're still good friends even though we haven't dated for 10 years almost. I understand that the age difference is sexually illegal but I'm wondering how many people have done this because I have been judged for it.

    As long as you are happy with her then yes. I'm fourteen and my boyfriend is nineteen. We know what the laws are and we have to deal with my idiot father trying to threaten him into leaving. Don't do anything stupid and you'll be ok

      When you are older you will realise that your boyfriend is a predator. A normal 19 year old should have no interest in a 14 year old girl. At 19 he could be in his second year of university, a 14 year old would still be in school in year 9, it's only a 5 year gap but those 5 years are huge in terms of growing up and gaining life experiences.

        That's the same amount of an age difference I had and honestly, she was probably more mature than me. girls mature younger than boys on average. We went to the same school too.

    I used to talk to a lot of older guys when I was very young 14-16 they varied from 20-25, because i thought it was soo cool, but now that I'm 19& in a serious relationship with my boyfriend that's about to be 20, I think it might have been just a stage; granted I never had sex with any of these dudes, it was only like a flirting type of thing. And now that I have friends in their 20s, when they bring these little girls around I kinda get grossed out. Sometimes I wish I still had those guys' numbers to tell them how perverted they were talking to a 14, 15, 16 year old! Now I just don't think it's normal for a 20+ guy to be interested in a kid, like there must be something wrong with them. Just my opinion though.

    It can be okay and it can not be.
    First of all, if you really loved her then it can be okay. Some guys go out with young girls since they're "easy to get" so they make them believe that they like them when they really don't. All those guys want is sex.
    At the same time, as I said, if you only went out with her because of a special reason, then no it's not. You'd just use her and that's not cool. You were 20 and she was 15. That means you too didn't have the same mentality - AT ALL. If you're 20, you're finished with school since 2 years and you're now in college. Although, if she's 15 she's still in highschool. Plus, it's considered as rape.
    But maybe you guys really cliqued together and you had a lot in commun ;) Personnally I wouldn't go out with someone 5 years older than me. But then again it's YOUR life. Hope i helped :P

      In my post I stated that she asked me out. I wasn't even trying to go for underage girls but she liked me and I had never had a girlfriend and she seems cool so I accepted her offer.

      Also the maturity of someone 15, 20 or whatever age depends on the person. I already stated that we went to the same high school and I didn't get out until I was 22. I will admit I am highly immature for my age. I'm 29 now and while I'm certainly not going to go for underage girls at this age I am still like a 12 year old boy on the inside and have a difficult time finding people my age who are similar.

    It is normal to have an age gap my other half is 9 1/2 years older then me. What isn't normal is the fact that she was 15.... But you already know its illegal so I won't preach :D

    I remember dating a 16 year old when I was 19, yeah not the same but close enough I remember my friends would teasing me with catchy phrases like "do the crime and serve the time" or "roll the dice and pay the price" haha
