Is it normal when i'm upset, i research diagnosis' for myself?

Whenever I get upset, either my fault, or someone else's, I find an urge to diagnos what could be wrong with me. First, of course I reflect, then I cry, then I ho crazy and start researching. It usually starts with trying to understand why I feel that way, then ill try to find out what I have. It's really weird, but the only thing that seems to make me feel any better. So tell me, is this normal?

I've done this before and through the help of wikipedia i can now understand myself a little better. The funny thing is, i have been clinically diagnosed as well and lets just say that the doctors should have their medical degrees revoked. The pills they prescribed me just sedate me, and it just doesn't help. If anything lets bring back Dr Kervorkian.

Right....? Sometimes I truly feel we can do a better job of diagnosing ourselves then doctors. So do u think it's normal?

People don't "have" anything. Psychologists just label different ways of thinking that are different from what they believe is how it should be.

Well I suppose that is a good thing. I just find it strange that that is my coping method.

  • Maybe you have hypochondria. You should really worry about that.

Well I don't think it is very serious. I am not always like that, only when I get upset.
