Is it normal when i fall asleep to still hear things?

To still hear the TV, yet I am frozen and have to struggle to fully awaken. Yes, I do hear the actual show that's on, yet I am almost froze in place or paralyzed?

Sleep paralysis. If you relax, then you could easily get out of this.

youre stuck in the in-between of awake and sleeping, you get paralyzed so your body dosnt hurt itself by flailing about while asleep

It's called Sleep Paralysis. It happens when your body is still in that deep stage of sleep when your body is paralyzed even though you are awake. The opposite of this is sleep walking lol.

Don't worry about that! If you learn how to recognize Sleep Paralysis when it's happening you can get out of it by not fighting your muscles. Just let it go, enjoy sleeping! If you practice manipulating these dreams you can get wonderfully realistic lucid dreams with all the objects and materials in your room.
