Is it normal when a 21 year old marries a 55 year old?

I know this 21 year old who at 19 married a guy who is like 55. She seems to be pretty happy with it but I personally find it disgusting. I mean at 20 you should just want to f*** around, party, etc not be married to some old creep with balls that hang to his toes. I know another girl who married an older guy to get a visa but the one I mentioned in the beginning doesn't get a visa from it, merely some trips to nice places and material stuff. Am I overreacting, is it normal for married people to have such a huge age gap?

    Obviously such a big discrepancy is not normal.

    On the face of it it is odd but there may be more to it: an older guy, established financially and socially, secure in himself perhaps?

    This is why it is best to start telling yourself not to judge too much because there are so many things you can't know about other people's lives - even though it is normal to see this as unusual.

    Being grossed out, however, is a bit harsh unless you know more than just the difference in age.
