Is it normal what my piercer told me to do?

Or, rather, what he told me NOT to do. No antibacterial soap, no iodine, no hyrdrogen peroxide, no rubbing alcohol, no special cleaner, no touching, no rotating, only use mild soap and water.

It's a lobe piercing, my first piercing, and I've been told to clean it daily and use a cleaner that "the piercer will sell to you" by people I know.

He did it extremely quickly and painlessly with a needle, and he has a bussiness in a tiny suburban village: he must be doing some right.
Is he right?

I cleaned my eyebrow and lip 4 times a day with salt water. But unscented soap should work just as well.

You never want to use peroxide because it'll dry it out. Anything with alcohol will do the same. Avoid it. Rotating isn't needed either.

I do not have much experience with piercings, but I am pretty sure the professional knows what he is talking about.

I just put a small pinch of sea salt to a egg cup of boiled water. let it cool slightly then use clean ear buds dunked in the solution and wipe that around all my piercings. but seeing yours is just lobe you could just hold the cup with your lobe dunked in it.
don't make it too strong the solution it won't heal it faster and it will just sting the shit out of the piercing.
works a treat give it ago
also if you have butterfly backs loosen them as much as you can :)
