Is it normal what my ex told me?

We broke up because he can't handle a woman depending on him all the time and he wasn't over his ex.That's the reason I believe we broke up.I just don't want to read him the wrong way.And I admit I got low self esteem and I am working on that.

I think you expect all break-ups to be bad. I know plenty of people who are on good terms with their exes. He may still have feelings for you, but you may also be inspiring to others, not just him.

I am not understanding how this is normal.I have never had an ex say this to me till now.So tell me how it is normal.By the votes there are more normal votes.

He did say thank you to me.I don't really care if he has feelings for me or not.I just don't like upsetting people.I want us to be on good terms.Before he said thank you he was describing how he is with people and did talk about how being in love is for him.Then said I inspired him.

Inspiration can come from both negative and positive feelings, experiences, and observations. I don't think that just because he's inspired by you that he likes you.
