Is it normal too sleep this heavily?

Is it normal to sleep so heavily that you don't wake up off of fire alarms or even from your own children crying in the baby monitor??? I have to set up loads of alarms these days and I either turn them off without remembering or don't hear them at all... This is starting to become a real problem.

You're too tired. Get more rest. This is very important.

Have you had your hearing tested?

consider the alternative of sleeping so lightly that a drop of a pin will wake you up in the middle of the night and cause your heart rate to skyrocket and you will be able to hear your own pulse throbbing like a drum.

but that does suck if you need to react to danger, i would say no, this is not normal.

consider sinking money into a sleep cycle alarm clock.

These clocks analyze your sleep cycle and wake you up before your alarm is set - but they do it when you're at a lighter part of the cycle.

this way it's easier for you to wake up and you don't feel as dead

I do this too, but I have hypersomnia.

For the most part, I can sleep through most sounds. If my dog is barking or someone is talking to me, then it usually takes me awhile to wake up.

I take sleep breaks during the day, but I'm still somewhat tired at night.

If you don't hear the fire alarms, that could be very dangerous....
