Is it normal to write the alphabet over and over again?

I've noticed that whenever I have a pencil and paper and have been given no assignment to work with, I print the alphabet over and over and over again. I use different fonts, styles, and switch between lower and upper case.

    I like writing my best friends name over and over again... Now that's not normal...

    You're fine. You're just a budding typography enthusiast, I guess. I find myself fascinated with typefaces, writing systems and the rest of it. Your writings are just doodles but make more sense. :D
