Is it normal to write songs when you're high or stoned?
Whenever I get high, I end up writing songs that sound better when I'm baked rather than if I was sober.

I wrote this song while I was stoned:
Space and time fuse endlessly,
Rumbling tremendously,
stars they rest like crumbs in honey
like doritos in my tummy
yum yum yummy
nom nom nummy
i could really go for some cool ranch right now
oh shit was that an ambulance passing by
that shit is fucking loud dude
it was like weeooweeoo and shit, damn
my left pinky finger feels weir
hahahAAHAHAHHA
ggguuuururrrrrrrrrfffffffffdpl
I'm heavily influenced by Bob Dylan.
Yeah, I guess you let go of your inhibitions and let the song flow. A lot of great songs were written while under the influence.
Also can't forget stone temple pilots. Scott weiland recently stopped taking drugs but their music is just as good.
Drugs tend to bring insight out of a person, some of the greatest works of art were done on drugs
And lady gaga as well. just please don't take after her and sing as if you have an egg. stuck in your throat. i honestly think she's as high as the head of a brachiosaurus when she records her vocals.
I only write songs when I'm high and I think it's the most brilliant shut then I sober up and throw it away like it's complete garbage. Which it is.
The music isn't better. You are just high. That song would sound like shit man....
And yes, that's what the Beatles did, and they were widely popular because everyone was tripping on acid. Their music is sub-par at best....
^that can't be. I highly doubt that people we prcessing meth back then. Anyway drugs are nasty. You don't need them to make great music. Take minor threat and rise against. Two awesome bands that are into the whole straight edge concept which includes don't do drugs.
