    I've never understood this mentality.

    If you like it, why do you care what anyone else thinks. You're essentially saying, "What you like trumps what I like".

    Mine was something that I made up in the fifth grade and now I stick with it simply for the fact that the *checking username* thing always is good.

    It is normal to be self-conscious. Just choose one that you can be comfortable with, though. I, personally, do not pay that much attention to usernames, just what is written under them ;)

    I suppose. I can never think up good usernames but it's more after the fact that I feel a bit stupid.
