Is it normal to worry about future mishaps(running out of oil?)

Recently, I've just been telling myself that I was born at a poor time, because when I'm retired, possibly with kids, We will probably have run out of oil, the environment will be even more screwed than it is now, and there will be war and anarchy to see who gets the last few drops. Does anyone else feel this? Is it normal to think things like this?

Just live your life the best way that you can. Plan for the future. The stool of a Bulgarian gypsy is the best cure for depression.

Bulgarian Lavender is stronger but not sweeter smelling than Hungarian Lavender.

Not much point in just worrying about it, what are you DOING doing about it?
