My wife and I are both doctors. We major in the same thing but we work at different hospitals. We've been discussing if we should work at the same hospital. Would it be weird to see each other at work? We think it'd be awesome to be able to spend time together not only at home and during vacation but also at work.
I know couples who work together. It doesn't really seem to cause a problem although having a strop in the office can be uncomfortable.

Trust me if you want to be taken seriously in the work place dont do it! But if you are not career minded and just 'wanna' job then go for it.
Every couple is different. If the both of you are fine with it, then why not? Personally, I would find it quite hard. I really need my space.
Spending too much time together can be a bit stifling, I wouldn't want to be around the same person all the time, I need my space
You should really think it through.
yes you can save gas and carpool if you have similar hours
but on the other hand, what's the chance of competing for the same position, and will one be in a position of power above the other?
also will you see each other all day long?
I think it sounds like a little much. I know you both are married and everything, but I think its too much "togetherness".
watch out you don't see too much of each other. time away can be healthy between couples.
My wife and I have worked in the same building for ten years. One year, we worked in the same room. We were together 24 hours a day and 7 days a week... and we did not have a single fight. It can work. For several years, the room she worked in was just across the hall from the room where my first wife worked. That in-office relationship didn't end so well.
It all depends if you can act professional and pretend everything is fine even if you are ready to claw each other's eyes out.
