Is it normal to work as a stripper?

Well I see it this way, if they want to do it let them. I rather have them in paid employment than be on social security.

However I believe that such workers shouldn't work in the horrid working conditions and be given the same rights as other professions.

I was a stripper for 8 years. I didn't have anything against the guys, they paid my salary (lol). Men have testerone/visual hormone. Women are beautiful to look at. Now, for the girls working there...different story. I have seen grad students, house wives, and drug addicts. It's obviously a good way to earn money, though it's a very difficult environment to work in.

I don't go to strip clubs because I wouldn't be able to control my desire to screw the beautiful women there. I don't want to be tantalised I want to FUCK - not just look at beautiful naked females.

I've been a stripper for 2 and a half years, bit I also work full time at an office job. In my experience, men aren't just pricks in a strip club and nice everywhere else. They don't exactly congregate at strip clubs, but there are men who enjoy going into a club and being assholes to the women. It makes them feel better about themselves in a way. But for every asshole, there's probably 5 nice, normal guys. After a little bit if girls are observant they can tell who's going to be an asshole and just not talk to them. That being said, being a stripper is actually a pretty smart way to make a lot of money in a short time legally in a shitty economy. We put up with a lot of shit some nights, but the cash can be worth it.

You have all kinds in that enviroment. It is difficult and there are some girls working through college, some single moms, then some drug addicts as well. As far as people that go to these clubs for entertainment you have good and bad as well. However, there are bouncers at the clubs that handle the bad. Also, you are not required to be in the company of someone who treats you disrespectful while working. You can be picky about who you except as a customer.

Who says it's 'inherently bad'? I've been to a few strip clubs and it's always a really fun way to finish a night out. There's nothing seedy or dirty about it. 3 of my mates did go to one where the strippers were skanky as fuck though and they paid about 100 quid to shag them but that sounded more like a brothel lol.

My town has a ton of strip clubs. There are two within a 10 minute walk and another dozen withing a few minutes drive. We do not have higher rates of mysogny or any other problem one might assume to be connected to the industry. Some are gross, but some are nicer than some of the bars in town. One even serves free range organic steak!

A couple of my girlfriends have worked as strippers and they were well respected by their male co-workers and taken care of. It pays good money.
