Is it normal to work a long time on a project and not get anywhere?

is it normal to work on a 10 page paper for 48 hr (not in a row) or should I get tested for a learning disability. Sometimes I can't comprehend the material or everything I write I hate, so I feel the need to fix it. Does it take everyone this long or just me?

    It sounds more like your a perfectionist that wants to make sure you understand the material and get your point across correctly. You just work harder at it than most people.
