Is it normal to wonder why presidential couples never get a divorce?

Is it just me or presidential couples never really get a divorce. I never heard about a president separating from his wife. Even Bill Clinton who cheated with Levinski stayed with his wife. Is it possible that all these marriages are staged just to make good impression on the public's eyes? We see regular couples separating every day, so it seems unlikely that a relationship would last for so long nowadays.

    I don't see how you can compare someone who manages to become the most powerful person on the planet with ordinary people.
    Whether you like them, respect them or hate them, the few men who have achieved that office are not ordinary people and often inspire a loyalty that lesser people do not understand at all.

    I think it's more than possible; it's certain. Hilary is just as much a calculating, power-hungry politician as Bill is. She wants the power, and if staying with Bill is what will make her most likely to get it then stay with Bill she will.

    In the US maybe. Nicolas Sarkozy (french) did get divorced while he was president and married a young and beautiful ex top model during his mandate. The actual french president Francois Hollande was not even married when he was elected as president. He had a companion but are no longer together. He cheated on her with an actress a while ago.

    In the US they tend to prefer married president with a stable family but it's not like this everywhere.
