Is it normal to wonder what direction we're going?

Without cheating. We are on a planet (Earth) that rotates on it's axis and orbits the Sun. As viewed from a vantage point above the North Poles of both the Sun and Earth, which direction are we travelling through space?

Earth rotates clockwise, Earth orbits the Sun counterclockwise. 4
Earth rotates counterclockwise, Earth orbits the Sun clockwise. 9

I live 'Down Under', I look South, I'm going in the 'Proper' direction 2

Since the earth rotates counter clockwise, and the earth has been spinning long than clocks have existed, shouldn't we say that clocks rotate counter earthwise?

That's a good point. I've never thought about it that way.

The sun travels from east to west (technically left to right for me in my garden throughout the day) and at the minute every night I have observed venus slowly moving to the right so this means the earth is spinning counter clockwise which also means that it is traveling counter clockwise around the sun along with all the other planets.

I think the planets travel counterclockwise.

Both earth rotation and cycle around the sun are counterclockwise.
