Is it normal to wonder how many years ago people discovered kissing?

    I've always wondered about stuff like that also. Kinda like who thought that the artichoke was edible. Or how things got their names.

    From what I read just a moment ago the earliest known evidence of kissing was found in the Vedic Sanskrit written around 1500 BC. Interesting question!

    I wonder how many years man breathed in and out before he discovered what it was he was taking into his body?

    Fascinating question without an actual answer. There is evidence for kissing 10,000 years ago because it's the chief progenitor of people having sex face to face (and being buried such). But just because we know it happened, doesn't mean we know the first time it happened.

      It is, chimpanzees do it too, not sure about other primates. So i don't think it was 'discovered', we've always done it :)

    I don't know exactly when it was invented but I do know that at one point in history it was a way of showing your enemies that you weren't afraid of them. It was sort of a "trash talking" thing.
