Is it normal to wish you were asexual?

I had rough experiences with opposite sex. And overall I just feel uncomfortable about who I'm attracted to. Sometimes I just wish I had no attraction to anyone. I don't even wish have a family, don't feel good enough for marriage and children. Is it normal to wish you weren't bi, hetero or homo... just have no urges to have sex?

I don't know if this desire is normal but I want to be asexual as well. The way I see asexually is that I can focus more on other more productive things. I don't like drifting off into sexual fantasies while I'm busy doing homework. However, the main reason that I wish I was asexual is so then I have an excuse as to I'm always single. Anyways, I'm sorry for all the bad relationships you've had.

Yes, I think its normal. I sometimes think that too... if only both sexes were on the same page in communication and thought... well most of the time anyways.

Asexuallity would make my life so much happier. So many of my issues and insecurities would go away. When you are a kid life is so much simpler
Only when puberty comes do all these discontents, heartaches, envy come about.

It is normal; but you really shouldn`t wish that. I am asexual and many, many people cannot seem to grasp such a simple concept as asexuality. I`ve been told psychopath, asked if I was abused, and some people have even been raped to "fix" them.

I've had very little and limited experience with the opposite and same sex and I wish I were asexual instead of bisexual. I've never truly dated and I'm a virgin, so if I were asexual, maybe my desire for sex and romantic companionship wouldn't be so strong. I just want to ENJOY being alone and maybe that would help me out a lot not having to worry about wanting someone in my life in that way. The thought of sitting in a room full of people and not finding any of them sexually attractive? Asexuality sounds wonderful... Maybe it's not normal, but I don't really care. Not wanting sex sounds amazing.

I'm asexual too except I like to have underarms licked while my perineum is pinched and my nipple twisted

I'm asexual... Only really because of my past events, but if you want to be Asexual fast, truamatization works. It's what happened to me when I was 5. And truth be told, I'm happy it happened. Because I can say, I'm not clouded over with the thought of 'omg I got pregnant' or 'omg I totally want it' or 'I wonder if my boyfriend likes me or not'. I can see the world for what it really is, and I can tell you, It's not brilliant. Reason why I want to become an animator, to create a world ten time more brilliant than this one.

What you are feeling is "normal". Love (romantic), Relationships and Sex are very complicated. This can be frustrating, because subconsciously we believe they should be very simple things.

After all the misfortunes I've had in relationships, I wish I could just turn it off like a switch. The unfortunate thing is, to be asexual usually indicates that you've never had a sexual feeling, which is nigh impossible in today's world.

Er personally, I'm asexual. I hate it. And love it. I WISH I could feel sexually attracted to someone, but I can't. I kind of blew off my sex drive two years ago or something. The good news is I don't pay too much attention to looks, unless I happen to honestly find someone ugly and unappealing. Currently I'm interested in someone, and my body, admittedly, goes through changes, but nothing sexual. There's a fire in my chest but not in m- well, you know. so for me, it seems to be good, and bad.

It's my own fault though. I drove myself into being asexual. But hey, now I can look at porn with a straight face. No more awkwardness when watching movies that have a little of /that/ content :P

Yea, you must be a "romancer"... supposedly they're generally attracted to the opposite sex and all just not into all that bedroom stuff. I think that would be hard, especially if you love someone who has a high sex drive.

My lust gets pretty annoying though...it's not like I'm attracted to anyone in particular or have a GF (probly wont anytime soon) to unload on.

It's normal. But in actuality only less than 1% of the population classifies themselves as asexual.

I guess it's pretty normal. I think though you haven't found your "Soul-Mate" yet.

I love that name... never believed in "soul mates", people can fall in love with more than person. I believe in love. I just don't think, I'm the appropriate material.... XD.

The term soul mate dosen't always mean something romantic/sexual. Your soul mate can be ANYBODY! Your sis, bro, BFF,mentor, parent
