It's normal but I don't think it's a great idea, because (and I feel that this also applies to actors/actresses) you don't always know whether what they're saying is for or that they are saying what they're saying and how they're saying it from a professional standpoint.

    Yes.

Maybe, one day, me and my now ex-therapist will. Or, maybe, not. Either way, both of our lives will go on.

You should try to find out what your dictor's policy on dual relationships is.

It's normal to feel that way. BUT, you don't want to have high hopes because there is a chance that she is just doing her job and has no interest in being your "friend."

Yes. Some therapists are okay with having dual relationships with their patients. Others prefer to wait until the patient is no longer a patient and only after a certain amount of time has passed. The policy depends on the therapist. You can ask her how she feels about this. Also, some people insists that there are benefits while others say that its not always a good thing. Again, opinions depend on the people. I think you go online and look up what the pros and cons of being a friend with your therapist especially, if you are still their client.

    Good Luck!
