Is it normal to wish i was white?
I wish I was white, caucasian. I'm totally fine with what I am right now, but I wish I was at least part white. I don't know why, and it makes me feel bad because I love my family, they're great.

When I spend time in groups that are exclusively non-white, I often feel like being white isn't such a great thing. In Afro-Caribbean groups I feel so uptight and like I take life way too seriously. When I spend time with Asian people, I feel like I'm lacking common wisdom. With South Americans, I feel shy and socially awkward. With Africans, I feel like I've forgotten how to have fun. With Middle Easterners, I feel like I'm not kind enough or welcoming enough and that their generosity will always outweigh mine.
Perhaps it's common to feel other colours/cultures/nations have a better deal of it. In which case, you and I are not so different.
Have you tried researching your family tree, by the way? There may be some white in there (although not necessarily for the best of reasons).
I'm half Caucasian and I often want to be completely Caucasian. It's normal, but everyone is still the same regardless of ethnicity.
It doesn't matter what colour you might be, it all depends on how you present oneself, self esteem, etc.
Its a form of self hatred if you don't like who you are. If you're not comfortable with who you are then how can anyone else be?
I wouldn't say that it's a bad thing; I think white people are more likely to be more physically appealing. But, if you're black, there'es nothing wrong with that, most great athletes are black.
So you want to be of the only race that's explicitly denied the right to any form of self-preservation, and simultaneously blamed for absolutely everything?
Trust me, it ain't great.
I think you know what he means but you're just being irrationally PC about it.
there are clear differences between groups of humans and distinct ethnicities based on skin color/facial features etc.
why do people pretend such differences don't exist?
I guess because they want to unify our species under the umbrella term of humanity rather than differentiate based on mere superficiality. Quite nice really.
Anyone with half a brain knows humans belong to one 'race' or species. However to gloss over distinct ethnicities which are starkly different from one another is a form of reductio ad absurdum.
Liberals live in a fantasy world where "everyone is the same" which really is an infantile way of looking at reality. All because they fear causing offense.
Asians, blacks, indians, whites are not the same-to think otherwise demonstrates pure ignorance and naiveté of these ethnic groups.
The grass is always greener. For the majority of people out there, I believe that there are certain aspects about our appearance that we would like to change. I'd say you're normal, but in keep there is somebody out there who probably sees you as attractive.
Don't worry it's normal. Sometimes I wish I was white too. But only so I could dye my hair orange and stuff.
Why would'nt you want to be white we've got it much better than the blacks,we're better looking we talk better and we don't get accused of commiting crime all the time.
i dont think you should want to be white why would you want to be all white and pale? (no offence to white peeps) but seriously you have to get tans alot to not look pale!
I've always wanted to be Tan or Black and I'm white so I know wht you mean.
Being white sucks you honestly get picked on for being "cracker" as well as your blamed for everything
I don't see how that makes me an asshole. Honestly, I'm not dissing what I am, I actually love what I am. I can't control my absurd desires. You can't call me an asshole when you don't even know me. I came here looking for plausible, educated answers, and if that's not what you're going to at least attempt to give me, then get the fuck out.
Aww, don't worry. We all wish there were something different about us, it's just...I guess race is a more touchy subject than hair colour or height. White people generally do get a lot of advantages without some of the drawbacks they don't even think about, so I guess it's normal to want to be like them.
To be honest, it's not that fun being White. I don't think it makes a difference what colour you are. If that makes you feel any better
I dont think it is a simple normal / not normal question. A lot of times you want to be something / someone thats better than you. you probably feel white ethnicity is better than yours. I would say it is normal to feel that but you should have self confidence and be proud of who you are.
