Is it normal to wipe yourself after sex?

Every time after me and my boyfriend have sex, we wipe ourselves clean with tissues or toilet paper, or whatever we have handy. We don't use condoms cause I'm on birth control, and we don't want to be messy. I've never heard of anyone else doing this, even though it makes total sense to us. Is this normal, or are we just being clean freaks?

    everyone i know showers off the stink of sex. wiping is just damn lazy. so you are abnormal. Now you know.

    Actually it's normal. I learned that it tends to smell bad when you don't.
