Is it normal to wear this to jury duty?

I wore this to jury duty on Monday. When the judge asked me to remove my hat, glasses and cape I insisted it I was wearing it for religious reasons and I continued to wear it in court for two more hours. When we were dismissed for lunch the judge told me to go home. I do not think I will be welcome back.

      Actually it was quite smart seeing that I didn't have to continue to go there for two more weeks getting paid only 10$ per day. I have better things to do. At least I know how to have fun and don't need to go around insulting people know how to have a good time.
