I feel really insecure because I just don't have that much money to buy a lot of clothes so of course I only have like 15 or so shirts that I actually wear and like 5 pairs of pants so I wear outfits twice or more a lot. It makes me feel weird because of this one girl I know. I have not seen her wear the same shirt twice all year. How does she have that many shirts. Is it weird that I repeat outfits a lot.

    I haven't had 15 shirts in the past 15 years. What do you mean to wear it twice? Twice total? Of course. I have wore the same thing twice in a week and I don't give a rat's ass what anyone thinks.

        I save on clothes by wearing trash bags. Just make a hole for your head and arms. People laugh at me but they don't pay my bills.
        I will change it up by wearing a black trash bag one day and the next day wear a white bag so it doesn't always look like you're wearing the same bag

    people are hypocrites though. you could wear the same jeans for a whole week and nobody will say anything, but if you wear the same shirt two days in a row, people flip a shit.

    OP .. where are you coming from .. i'm a bit confused .. do you mean to wear the same outfit the next day as in "unwashed" or .. as in the sense is it a fashion "offence" to wear the same outfit 2 days in a row .. please clarify !

    Er... yes! Think about it, who's the more environmentally friendly one here? You. If we all washed our clothes after just one wear, this planet would be truly F'd! Think about how much electricity etc. that would use. Also, there are a lot of people in poorer countries who will wear the same thing for a lot more than a few days... and only get to wash it in a river that might not be that sanitary. It would be total luxury to them to be able to put clothes in a washing machine after a few days. Anyway, I would say most people change their underwear everyday but not all their clothes.

    Also, any decent person isn't going to judge you if you've worn a shirt two or three days in a row. They would just care that you were comfortable and as long as your clothes are clean and don't smell funny (which I'm sure they don't unless you run everywhere in really hot weather and sweat all the time) then that's all that really matters.

    Lastly, you say you don't have much money but honestly, security in yourself is much more valuable. A lot of rich people are very insecure... remember that. Their money (and their shirts!) define them. Money makes your life easier and gives you more options and it buys you more shirts but it doesn't make you happy.

    Try to live a life that is worth living, that is for yourself. Stop living your life for other people. As long as your clothes are clean and tidy, don't bother what others wear or think.

    Do you buy everytime you've worn one? What's the conundrum about wearing clothes more than once? This is what every practical, sensible, and normal person does. Do you mean wearing it twice a week/month/year/lifetime? I do it all the time. I don't really bother with judgements because they seem misplaced. People who judge you on this basis must be shredding money. Not worth it.
