Is it normal to wear a dragon suit?

First off, I'm a 33 year old man living with my great aunt who has raised me basically from birth. I know I'm basically the stereotypical "loser who still lives at home" so don't bash me because of that. Now to my actual question... At home I wear normal clothes (Tshirts and shorts and whatnot). But whenever I go out in public I only feel safe when I'm in my dragon suit. It started as a Halloween costume when I was a teenager and I've kept it all these years and made some hefty improvements. For example I replaced the original flimsy silk wings with durable but lightweight carbon fiber ones. I also put red LEDs all down the spine and made the tail spikes out of aluminum. The teeth are actual shark's teeth an the claws are falcon talons. Obviously this started out as a costume and then became kind of like a hobby. But now I can't leave my house without wearing it. I work in a call center so I never interact face-to-face with customers but all my coworkers are getting pretty annoyed... Especially because I keep accidently knocking things over with my tail. Do they have any right to get mad at my dragon suit or am I normal to wear it all the time?

  • 1. Move out. Your great aunt is gonna bite the dust before you so it's best to have a plan now.

    2. Dragon suit? Not normal nor healthy. I don't care that you wear one but WHY you wear it. What could possibly motivate a person to ostracize himself like this?

a dragon suit is indeed odd but I do not see a issue as long as your not pretending to eat poeple and kidnapping them into your mouth as you run around town your just a odd odd man if it works for you great just long as it dont hurt poeple .

I think it's fine as long as you don't breathe fire and set your colleagues alight. That's probably what they're worried about.

I always wondered if it was completely normal to walk around dressed in my Leeloo Dallas costume flashing people my "Multipass".

Perhaps we are one and the same!

That's awesome. If I was your coworker, I'd be your friend.

I am not completely sure if I believe your post or not. It is definitely not normal to wear it in public every day but rather only on special occasions. Your costume does sounds pretty awesome though. ^_^
