Is it normal to watch tv with captions on?

I have no problem hearing my TV but I just really prefer having the closed caption option on so I can see every word. Is this a normal way to watch television?

    Nope, captions drive me wonkers! I've got to keep them turned off, unless it's a foreign film. Then I put up with it. :)
