Is it normal to watch a lot of television shows?

Recently I have been getting into television shows really bad, I get really attached and when the shows are on a break I feel like I have literally nothing to do, when a character does I get really emotional as well, this is a list of all the shows I watch, is it to much?

Game of Thrones, Suits, Bones, The Walking Dead, How I Met Your Mother, Big Bang Theory, Person of Interest, WWE Raw & Smackdown, Revenge, The Vampire Diaries, Dexter, Go On, Pretty Little Liars, Nikita, New Girl, Supernatural, Arrow, Once Upon a Time and Misfits

I also have re watched cancelled series such as Lost (6seasons), Friends (10seasons), 24 (8season) and Lie to Me (3seasons)

I never miss an episode of Big Bang Theory. Oh and I used to watch the office, until Steve Carell left. Oh and Two and a Half Men. Love that show. I miss Charlie though.

The only tv shows I actually watch and care about are Family Guy and the Walking Dead. I just watch YouTube most of the time though, better than anything on TV.

I'm right there with you. Vampire diaries, The walking dead, pretty little liars, shameless, HIMYM, hart of dixie, switched at birth, Kyle x yetc. I watched and re-watched all 9 seasons of one tree hill. I'm constantly looking for New shows to watch. I can watch a whole season of a series in about 1 and a half days. There's this new show called The secret circle it's from the creators of Vampire diaries and it's premier here is tonight... stoked, have you seen it?. I also get attached to the fictional characters of the shows that I watch. I think if it doesn't affect your life in any way socially etc then carry on.

I've noticed that I've stopped watching fiction on TV as it doesn't seem to be of the quality it was. I tend to rely on books for fiction (and rarely read non-fiction any more). My friends, however, are the opposite and won't read fiction (it's "made up" they say) but will happily watch it.

I lived without a TV for a couple of years and honestly didn't miss it but I realised that the things I didn't miss was the fiction I watched (apart from comedy). I'm not down on TV, by the way. I think it's an exceptional medium and one of my favourites. I just worry that we're ruining it.

However, while I've never seen most of the shows you like, the two that I have watched (Misfits and The Big Band Theory), I do really like. Although I think they should have stopped Misfits after the second series. It used to be really, really good, and then it was just good.

I agree with the Misfits comment, although i didn't mind season 3 i thought the Rudy character was a better replacement for Nathan than i could have thought of, though the fourth season has taken a plunge of a cliff it is terrible. but off topic, the reason i ask the question of IIN is because when i get to talking about tv with my mates they only seem to watch 2 or maybe 3 shows as religiously as i watch all 20+ of my shows and i can talk about my shows for hours, and when they start talking about other subjects i try to steer it back to tv

Is that it? I arguably watch a lot of television to. As long as it doesn't impede on your life and you're still able to function, then it shouldn't matter how much television you watch.
