Is it normal to want your spouse to go back to sea duty?

I'm a US NAVY wife of 5+ years and have never had my husband gone for more than 29 days at a given time. Basically he has managed to avoid deployments with 4 commands in the time we've been married. He just recently went to shore duty a couple of months ago and now we're together for all but 5 hours per day. Is it normal to want him to go back to sea? (and no, I'm not the kind to cheat so it's not that kind of situation)

That's normal. When he's deployed you get use to doing things your own way and now that he's back he's in your hair a lot more than you're use to.

I recommend you both discuss what you're expecting in the marriage and deciding what you can and cannot compromise on.

And, consider having "alone time" for both of you as needed.

Absolutely! You need some space to yourself.

Unfortuantely I'm living with mine and we're both students with pretty similar courses.... so it's not easy to get away from him
