Is it normal to want your girlfriend to earn less money than you?

So, I am finishing my university now and me and most of my friends are planning our future. But there is something really shocking I have been hearing lately. Even though we are supposed to be open-minded and well-educated people, most of my male friends claim that it is "humilliating" if a woman earns more than a man in a relationship. I asked my female friends about this as well, and even though they do want to earn well, most say that they wouldn't like to earn so much if their partner is going to feel uncomfortable about it.

So, is this mentality normal at all?

Not unusual, but insecure and ridiculous.

Well, most societies these days are raised with the unspoken rule that women are less than men, but i dont think this is the case. You are normal to have a secret desire to make more money, but if i were you i'd suppress it.

    Major problem with that bruh.
no seriously. You try being the man on the house when that moment comes where u have a serious argument with the woman that feeds you, clothes you, bought you that car and the house is in her name.

She will have your balls hanging from her left hand while you fight for whatever scrap of dignity you got left.

Women don't have that built in sense of responsibility over her spouse that come with guys. That's why they kick you to the couch for bed, don't leave you any food for dinner, and starve you off sex in bed when you're horny.

Imagine what she'll do to you holding the title deeds on her pms when you do screw up? Not a good scenario. Flame me but it is what it is.

    • I feel so sorry for you, because if this is how you think, it means that you have never been in a happy relationship in which both love each other. I guess your thoughts are not unusual at all, but I just find the idea that someone has to dominate the other in a relationship extremely idiotic.

Its the chauvinistic attitude most men where raised as. This happens in most cultures it seems. Even ones that are suppose to believe in women's rights. The only reason some women have rights is since the culture is not entirely rude enough to completely shut them down for it. Yet that does not mean they really believe women deserve any rights. Also most women are taught that this is how they should live and they should live to cater to men. Most men want to feel like they have big balls and can earn for everyone.I find it sad when men are this stupid and even when worse when women blindly follow it. Its as though no one has their own brain and wont think their own thoughts. Its clear to see acting primitive is barbaric and we should have evolved passed this type of bull shit.

  • What's wrong with a woman having more money than you? That means she usually pays for shit.
I wish i could find a billionaire woman. A sugar mommy who buys me stuff in exchange for sex.

It isn't that you want her to earn less than you.

You want to earn more than her so you have something to offer, that she wouldn't have had if you had not been in her life.

It isn't wrong. It's called being a provider, which is in a man's nature. It's a beautiful quality. Men created practically everything in our physical world to make life easier, and less hostile to *YOU GUESSED IT* women and children.

Most people who tell you that having this attitude is wrong are convoluted themselves. They think that a man should be man, and that a woman should be a woman AND and even bigger man.

Think about it. Who is the real woman hater? No one truly respects the nature of a woman if they think she should be able to displace a man.

Don't listen to the sheep. Listen to your nature.

  • Deep down, not everyone sees men and women as being worthy of equal financial contributions in a relationship. Sometimes biases are subtle.
