Is it normal to want weird nose piercings?

I don't think I will ever get a piercing, but if I do I know exactly where and how I'd get them. I would want to get a 1/8-1/4 inch in diameter tube-style earring implanted as a hole on the upper part of my nose above my nostrils right before the bone on both sides. I would imagine that I might have to have a little more work done than just a simple piercing to get a hole big enough to fit one of those in there, but it is definately doable. The holes would act like extra nostrils providing better airflow so it would be not only unique, but a functional piercing as well. Is it normal to want something like this?

    Whenever I see someone and realize they have a facial piercing their hotness factor automatically takes a huge hit. Unless it's a snake bite or something. I hate nose studs and rings, single lip studs or eyebrow bars, almost anything on the face. It's just distracting and annoying. It's like buying a bright yellow corvette. LOOK AT MMMEEEEE, LOOK AT MMMEEEEEEEEE!

    when i was younger, i wanted so many piercings, i didn't end up getting a single one. and now i'm glad. there are a million other (more creative) ways to express yourself

    Piercing anything is normal. But it's doubtful it will aid the breathing process. Although it seems silly to make extra breathing holes when the originals work fine. Nostrils serve a purpose, why eliminate the filtration process?

    Your entire nose is cartilage, theres no skin. And still not normal.

    The bridge piercing your talking about will make you go cross-eyed. Plus, that would be a cartilage piercing, and it won't allow you to breath through it.

      I don't think you understand exactly where I would want these. I don't want to pierce the cartilage, just the skin mass.
