Is it normal to want to use ignorance as an excuse?

I like to think I am somewhat forward in my thinking, I usually always see the next step. The problem is I am bored to death. Everytime I try to have fun I always think about it first to see how it will play out, this keeps me from really taking a chance and enjoying life. For example I really want to get a mustang because its "badass", but my good ole brain keeps bothering me by telling me my insurance rates are going to be high, gas will be expensive or i'll drive it too fast and get tickets.

This drives me to want to just stop the forward thinking so that way I can have fun and just face the consequences when they come. Does anyone else wish to be ignorant just to enjoy life?

Omg, just accept that u have grown up and understand now that every action has a reaction! Be thankful you can think like that, and make good use of it! I know ppl that can't, and I feel sorry for them.

sure it's normal. in the same way it's normal to cry the first time you meet Tyrone in jail and he likes you...

@OP You have noticed that material things can not bring you lasting happiness. Try accepting things how they are and feeling happy about that which you already have. You can treat yourself sometimes and feel happy about, just don't get to attached to good sensations and things, as they may not last.

I know what you mean now, but you still can't use "I" to mean "self".

I can do whatever I want. I'm not the first one to use such a method. Creates 2 messages in one
