I have smoked weed for about a year and so have most of my friends and the only difference is most of my friends parents know they smoke and so do my parents so I always have to lie and sneak around when I hangout and smoke but I think it would be much easier if my parents knew that I smoked so then I can stop lying about where im at and who I'm with
I'm a parent and I knew before my son told me. Evidence in his clothes when I went to wash them. He smelled like it. Had a stupid look on his face. Ravaged my fridge. Hid in his room to eat it. Unless your parents have blinders on and they can't smell, they know.
Your parents know. Pay attention to their behaviour. If they eat lots of brownies around you and don't share, recite obscure limericks, insist you check out their collection of classic rock, and sigh with sad contentment, they know and are fucking with you about it.
If however, they avoid your gaze, get into arguments with each other, get into arguments with you over little stuff, sigh with anxiety and concern, and pray randomly with abandon, they know and don't approve.
Unless your parents are complete control freaks then it should be ok.My parents knew before and one day we just got into a convo about it. My mum said she cuoldn't give a shit aslong as I don't become a total pot head. (which I'm not)

I was disappointed. Not mad. I dabbled in the stuff when I was young. I would be hypocritical if I did get mad.
